Types of Groups

There are many different types of groups to connect to at Council Road, here are just some of the examples:

  • Disciple-Making Groups - believers seeking a structured discipleship process (men's groups, women's groups, couples groups, student groups, etc...)
  • Community Groups - believers and nonbelievers, building community with each other, living life together, and experiencing the life transformation process (couples that connect due to some affinity they have with each other)
  • Service Groups - believers using their gifts, talents, and abilities to complete a task within the body (venue to invite new members to give them a point of connection.)
  • Seeker Groups - predominantly nonbelievers. (a leader and apprentice with a goal of leading people to Christ and to disciple new converts.)
  • Support Groups - believers and nonbelievers (may take many forms depending on the needs that present themselves.) Some of the different types: divorce recovery, grief, abuse, financial, addictions, etc. These groups exist to support group members as they work through personal difficulties in their lives.
