At Council Road, our teachers utilize curriculum from LifeWay Christian Resources (or similar philosophy) that is both developmentally and spiritually appropriate for each child. Preschoolers learn that Jesus loves them and wants to be their best friend, as well as how to live a life devoted to Jesus.
Preschool Kidz Konnection
- Sunday mornings 9:15 AM and 10:45 AM
Through activity teaching, we emphasize the seven specific areas for spiritual development: God, the natural world, Jesus, family, self, others, and the Bible. These activities promote growth, enjoyment, confidence, trust and security. Trained adult volunteers lead these teaching-learning activities.
Preschoolers 2 and younger enjoy a Preschool Kidz Konnection experience during both sessions. Parents of preschoolers and other adults, our “Preschool Pals", are the teachers.
“Kidz Kamp”
3’s - K age preschoolers are treated to a fun filled learning experience that includes a rotation to classes involving music, crafts and a Bible story time all geared to their level of learning. Parents of our preschoolers serve on a rotation basis in their child's room to make this program possible.
WeeWOA
- Wednesday Evenings 6:30 – 8:00 PM
“Wednesday Night WeeWOA” is a major component of Council Road’s MIDWEEK ministry on Wednesday nights. Preschoolers will experience an evening of learning focusing on music, discipleship, missions and recreation. Childcare and teaching is provided for 3's and younger.
Parent Ministry
A ministry to preschoolers would be incomplete without a ministry to parents. Someone has said, “the best gift we can give our preschoolers is a Christian home.” To this end, our preschool ministry is committed to providing resources, encouragement and biblically-based guidance to parents of preschoolers.
Throughout the year parents are encouraged to be involved in Home Commitments/Baby Dedications, Mom’s get away weekends, Dinner honoring New/Expectant Parents, Date Nights, special Bible studies for Moms and small group experiences.
