Mission Statement
“To connect people relationally in groups of (four to twelve individuals) for the purpose of loving one another, growing in Christlikeness, and doing our part in the work of the church, in order to glorify God and reach our community.”
“And all the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and good, they gave t anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all people. And the Lord added to their numbers daily those who were being saved.” Acts 2:44-47
Philosophy
- Jesus Christ, as Head of the church, intends His followers to become like Him.
“…I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.” John 13:15
- A small group provides the optimal environment for the life change Jesus Christ intends for every believer.
“He appointed twelve-designating them apostles-that they might be with Him.” Mark 3:14
- The most strategic person in the life-change process of the church is the small group leader.
“It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service.” Ephesians 4:11-12
- Small groups must expand and multiply so that eventually every believer can be connected to others.
“And the things you have heard me say….entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.” 2 Timothy 2:2
- Effective ministry happens in an atmosphere of celebration and connection.
“And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit” Acts 13:52
