Peru - June 17-25, 2012

Peru.  Mysterious land of the Incas.  Lush biodiversity.  Alluring rainforests.  Staggering Andes Mountains.  Richly varied cultures.  Peru is all this and more.  Peru’s indigenous people are steeped in ancient rituals and are searching for meaning in their lives.  Groups of people living far up winding mountain trails, alongside the many rivers, and in the hot, steamy jungle are dangling in spiritual and physical poverty.  People living in an inheritance of domination by outsiders who sought the treasures of the country’s resources, but forgot the people.  People who are loved by God. People who need a Savior.   Our strategy will be to work with a small evangelical church to reach the fertile Mantero Valley, (10,000ft.).  Inhabited by the Wanka Quechua people—who use to be a race know for their cruelty toward their enemies.  Today they are a friendly people who have been neglected because of thier poverty.  We want to minister hope to the whole family by giving attention to their spiritual, emotional, educational, relational and medical needs. For more information contact Dann Ragan ragan@councilroad.org or Kyle Pewitt kpewitt@councilroad.org or register online.
