Single Adults at Council Road
The Singles Ministry at Council Road Baptist Church is about cultivating relationships.  We want to connect intimately with Jesus, transparently with one another and effectively with those away from God.  Our relationships are enhanced through biblical community, authentic worship, and selfless acts of service.  At Council Road we desire to help each Single Adult become a fully developed follower of Christ.  Our church provides environments where single adults can gather to celebrate, connect, experience biblical community and live for a cause.  Each of the following opportunities provides a way for single adults to participate in these environments. Singles Connection Classes

Single Focus – Connecting Singles to Christ and each other. Single Focus Sunday Connection - Join us at 9:15 a.m. every Sunday in the Chapel for coffee and donuts, in depth teaching and lots of discussion.  This is for young 20s through early 50s.  For more information, please contact James Hunt at jhunt@councilroad.org .

University Class - The University fellowship meets every week on Sunday mornings at 9:15 at the Cube in the Media Room.  We get together and engage God's word in order to know Jesus more intimately and live for Him more effectively.  We are very serious about discovering ways to demonstrate to others how great Jesus is.  For more information about our University Ministry or how you can connect in a small group contact James Hunt at jhunt@councilroad.org .

Single Celebration - This co-ed group meets at 9:15 in the Garden Room for in depth teaching and good discussion. It targets single adults in their 40s and 50s.

Single Parent Ministry

Single Parent Fellowship - This is a new ministry launching on Wednesday, September 3, 2008, and will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Front Porch.  This is a great place for single parents to get to know each other and encourage each other.  Bring your kids and let them participate in the student and children's ministries.

Upcoming Singles Events

Singles Outing to Discovery Land – Saturday, August 9.  The activity will start with a fun meal together at Cheeseburger in Paradise (3109 W Memorial Rd. OKC, OK) at 4 p.m.  We will leave from there to drive to Discovery Land near Tulsa to see a performance in the outdoor amphitheater of the musical “Oklahoma!”  Find someone to carpool with to share the cost of driving.  The cost of a ticket for the musical is $21.05.  Please sign up to go by Sunday, August 3.

Single Focus Fall Retreat – October 24-26.  Register for $40 at www.councilroad.org for this exciting weekend in the great outdoors!  If you plan to carpool please give your driver $5 to help with fuel cost. For more information, please contact James Hunt at 503-4092.
