The council road middle school ministry exists to produce true Christ followers in a culturally relevant enviroment that can rise up and lead their peers around them. we would like to see students come to a place where they own their faith and are striving to become more in their relationship with God. view brochure.
MiSSLe
The MiSSLe (Middle School Student Leadership) Team is made up of students who have decided they want to take an active role in our ministry and step out in various leadership positions. These students meet quarterly and discuss upcoming events and strategy for possible outreach activities. Some of the leadership teams include: Summer Planning Team, Guest-Follow-Up Team, and [RE]mix team. This group of students has a vital role in our ministry and their feedback is greatly calued. MiSSLe provides a platform for students to discover their natural leadership abilities and even a stage to practice them among their peers. Meetings are held quarterly.
Wednesday Night
Wednesday night is a high energy experience for middle school students at 6:15 pm in the cube. Each week, students will experience a mix of modern music, group games, and interactive teaching - all in a way that is relevant and cutting edge. You don't want to miss this exciting chance to connect with students from all across the city each week for an event that puts the rest of your week to shame.
Connection Class (Sunday AM)
Connection classes are a great opportunity for students to connect with each other and adults who will mentor and invest in their lives on a weekly basis. During this time each week we focus on instilling seven core values (authentic faith, spiritual disciplines, moral boundaries, healthy friendships, wise choices, ultimate authority, & others first) into the lives of students through relevant teaching and interactive groups. Connection classes meet at 9:15 am every Sunday morning in the cube.
Community Groups (Sunday PM)
One of the things that we place highest value on is biblical community. It is the conviction of our student ministry that every student needs to be plugged into a community group where they can live their life with others who are going through the same experiences. Our desire is that every student in our ministry will find a community group where they can be challenged to grow, mentored by an adult, and experience community life through meaningful relationships with a group of peers. Community groups meet on Sunday nights in homes all across the city area. Contact us for help finding the group that is right for you.
