Family Discipleship and Equipping

The Family Discipleship and Equipping Team focuses on the family with the objective of making disciples and equipping them for works of service. We accomplish this through a wide range of ministries and programming to and through our children and adults.

Our children meet each Sunday in the Children’s Building for Kids Worship and Connection Bible Classes. Wednesday evening programming is “World Outreach Adventure,” where children learn about various places where God has given Council Road partnership for the Gospel. Vacation Bible School and Children’s Camp are the main annual events for our children. Council Road’s ministry to children also includes a Daycare, and support for homeschool groups during the week.

Council Road enjoys vibrant ministries to and through our single, adult, and senior adult communities. Single and married adults of all ages meet each Sunday morning in Connection Bible Classes. These classes are the best way for our new people to connect to the life and ministry of our church. The emphasis in the classroom is on ushering people into community life, discipleship, equipping, and releasing our people to places of service. Wednesday night programming for adults includes the MidWeek Chapel service, a selection of discipleship courses, and Single Parent Fellowship. In addition, several Bible studies are hosted on site during the week.

The Family Discipleship and Equipping Team hosts a quarterly Newcomers Lunch that has become a favorite venue for joining the church. Our Guest Reception, Greeter, and Ushering ministries keep friendly faces and helping hands out front. Come join us, and find your place to serve and belong!
