At Council Road we believe that “missions” is not a project, but rather a lifestyle. We have adopted an Acts 1:8 strategy to love the world to Christ by starting in our own community and working out from there. We believe that God has called every believer to make an impact for His Kingdom, from the time that we are first brought into His family, until the day we finally see Him face to face. Making disciples takes place within your personal sphere of influence. There are many ways you can impact missions.
Pray specifically for God to move in your neighborhood, school, work place and around the world. Ask God to give you a vision for how you are to make an impact for Him, then let Him use you.
Make an impact by giving your tithes to the general budget and making sacrificial offerings directly to missions. Through your giving, Council Road supports 10,000 Southern Baptist missionaries who are impacting millions of people in North and South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and many non-SBC partners. Your gifts bring humanitarian aid like pre-natal vitamins, medicine, water filtration, blankets and eyeglasses to some of the poorest people in the world. Your gifts also support Council Road’s multi-million dollar activities facility called the Cube that is open free of charge to our community, as well as funding many of our local Mission Impact opportunities that are designed to demonstrate the love of Christ to those living in our neighborhood.
Get involved with one of our many local “Loving Our City” mission opportunities. Join us on a short-term mission trip, and experience the joy of God using you to impact people for His Kingdom around the world. At Council Road there is no excuse for not going. We believe that you will be impacted by what God will do in and through you so strongly that we are willing to invest in 25 percent of the cost of your trip.
